GI expertise

GenPath employs over 40 board certified pathologists, including surgical pathologists and cytopathologists with expertise in gastrointestinal pathology.

GenPath’s GI pathology services are led by Liang Liu, M.D., Ph.D. who completed his GI pathology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. He also completed a pathology fellowship at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and a member of multiple medical and pathology organizations including AGA, CAP, ASCP and USCAP.

Extensive insurance coverage

As a business unit of BioReference Laboratories, GenPath has insurance contracts with many national health plans and hundreds of regional payers, including Aetna, Cigna, Anthem and United Healthcare, and through our Payer Relations Department, we are constantly working to increase our payor networks to gain coverage for our patients. Patient access is one of our highest priorities.
