Preferred Specimen and Volume Draw 1 lav, 2 red tubes and 4 blue 3.2% citrate tubes to submit 1 Lav (Room Temp), 4 Frozen Serum (FS) aliquot tubes and 6 Frozen Plasma (FS) aliquot tubes.
 
Specimen Handling Information
Specimen Storage Lavender Tubes should be stored and shipped separately at Room Temperature. Frozen Plasma and Frozen Serum aliquot tubes must be frozen and shipped on dry ice.
Causes For Specimen Rejection Frozen Specimens will be rejected if grossly hemolyzed, clotted, or thawed.
